Kim has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the game since tying for 23rd in his U.S. Open debut last June at The Country Club. The 20-year-old (he doesn't turn 21 until June 20) claimed a pair of PGA Tour events in 2022: the Wyndham Championship and Shriners Children's Open. And he sparkled as a rookie on the International Presidents Cup Team at Quail Hollow, becoming a crowd favorite despite playing for the visiting side. Prior to his U.S. Open start, Kim led the Asian Tour's Order of Merit. Kim owns two victories on the Asian Tour and two others on the Korean Tour. As an amateur, Kim won the 2017 Philippine Junior and the 2018 Philippine Amateur Open Championship.
