Final Qualifying: Shot 65-63 at Gaston Country Club, in Gastonia, N.C., on June 8

The former University of Washington standout and one-time Korn Ferry Tour winner qualified for his first U.S. Open by sharing medalist honors at Gaston Country Club, in Gastonia, N.C. Yuan posted 12-under 128 to tie amateur Jackson Ormond. Yuan was born in the People's Republic of China, but now resides in Florida. While at Washington, he won the 2016 Pacific Northwest Amateur. Yuan turned professional in 2018 and competed on PGA Tour China, collecting one win. He later joined the Korn Ferry Tour, where he captured the 2022 Chitimacha Louisiana Open. He also owns three runner-up finishes on that circuit.
