Final Qualifying: Shot 64-65--129 at Hino Golf Club (King Course), in Japan, on May 25

The former University of Southern California standout will make his U.S. Open debut after posting 11-under-par 129 at Hino Golf Club's King Course on May 25. Onishi owns a pair of professional victories, including the 2025 UNC Health Championship Presented by STITCH on the Korn Ferry Tour. He also won the 2022 Funjisankei Classic on the Japan Golf Tour. He earned his PGA Tour card for 2025, but made just 6 of 26 cuts, with his best result a T-18 at the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic. Onishi was the Pacific-12 Conference's Freshman of the Year for the 2017-18 season. He prepped at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., and finished third in the 2015 Western Junior. He also qualified for the 2017 U.S. Amateur at The Riviera Country Club.
