F-2: Top 10 scorers and ties from 2025 U.S. Open
F-11: Those who qualified for the season-ending 2025 Tour Championship
Young will make his seventh U.S. Open start after finishing tied for fourth in the 2025 U.S. Open as well as qualifying for the season-ending Tour Championship. The former Wake Forest standout broke through for his maiden PGA Tour victory last August at the Wyndham Championship, the last full-field event before the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Young was named the 2022 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year after tying for third in the PGA Championship at Southern Hills Country Club, in Tulsa, Okla., and then following it up with a runner-up showing in the 150th Open Championship on the Old Course at St. Andrews . Before gaining his PGA Tour status for the 2021-22 season, Young registered a pair of Korn Ferry Tour wins on consecutive weekends in May 2021: the AdventHealth Championship and Evans Scholars Invitational presented by First Midwest Bank. The son of former Sleepy Hollow Country Club head professional David Young registered three victories in his senior season for the Demon Deacons and had a stroke average of 70.56. In 2017 he became the first amateur to win the New York State Open. He advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2014 U.S. Amateur and was a member of the 2014 USA Junior Ryder Cup Team. Young also was a member of the victorious 2022 U.S. Presidents Cup Team and represented the U.S. in the 2025 Ryder Cup Matches.
