F-11: Those players who qualified and were eligible for 2022 season-ending Tour Championship
F-22: Top 60 points leaders in the Official World Golf Ranking as of May 22, 2023

Young, who will compete in his fourth U.S. Open, continues to rise up the rankings after a stellar 2022 season that netted him PGA Tour Rookie of the Year honors. He tied for third in the PGA Championship at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla., and followed it up with a runner-up showing in the 150th Open Championship at St. Andrews . Before gaining his PGA Tour status for the 2021-22 season, the former Waker Forest standout registered a pair of Korn Ferry Tour wins on consecutive weekends in May 2021: the AdventHealth Championship and Evans Scholars Invitational presented by First Midwest Bank. Young, the son of former Sleepy Hollow Country Club head professional David Young, registered three victories in his senior season for the Demon Deacons and had a stroke average of 70.56. In 2017 he became the first amateur to win the New York State Open. He advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2014 U.S. Amateur and was a member of the 2014 USA Junior Ryder Cup Team. He earned his spot in the field by being among the top 60 in the Official World Golf Ranking as of May 23. Young was a member of the victorious 2022 U.S. Presidents Cup Team.
