F-21: Top 60 points leaders and ties from the Official World Golf Ranking as of May 18
Gerard will tee it up in his fourth U.S. Open by virtue of being among the top 60 point leaders in the Official World Golf Ranking as of May 18. The former University of North Carolina standout graduated to the PGA Tour in 2025 by finishing among the top 30 on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2024 that included a victory in the BMW Charity Pro-Am in South Carolina. In 2025, Gerard broke through for his maiden PGA Tour title at the Barracuda Championship, an event co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour. He also was the runner-up in the 2025 Valero Open, in San Antonio. He initially competed on PGA Tour Canada in 2022, winning the Quebec Open. Gerard collected one tournament victory in his five seasons in Chapel Hill, the 2021 Rod Myers Invitational at Duke. He competed in the 2019, 2020 and 2021 U.S. Amateur Championships, and was a college teammate of 2021 runner-up Austin Greaser. Among his junior victories was the 2015 American Junior Golf Association Polo Junior Classic, in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
