F-21: Top 60 points points leaders and ties in the Official World Golf Ranking as of May 18

The Santa Clara graduate will be making his third U.S. Open start after being among the top 60 point leaders in the Official World Golf Ranking as of May 18. In 2024, the lefty captured the points title on the Korn Ferry Tour. Then shortly after graduating to the PGA Tour, he claimed his maiden title at the 2024 Black Desert Championship in Utah by three strokes. This came after he posted three victories on the Korn Ferry Tour, including the Albertsons Boise Open to cap an amazing season. He joined Jason Gore (2005) as the only KFT players to earn a three-win promotion to the PGA Tour and then win a title on that circuit in the same season. The Scottsdale, Ariz., native earned his undergraduate degree in finance in 2020, and then he earned a Master's degree the following year in marketing. Prior to his three 2024 KFT wins and PGA Tour title, McCarty won the 2021 Wyoming Open. He also competed in the 2019 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball at Bandon Dunes.
