Final Qualifying: Shot 70-65 at Woodmont Country Club (North Course) in Rockville, Md., on June 3
Suber was a late addition to the U.S. Open field as the first alternate from the Rockville, Md., final qualifier when 2021 U.S. Open champion Jon Rahm withdrew with a foot injury. Suber earned the status from a three-man playoff for the last two alternate spots. The Tampa, Fla., native and former University of Mississippi player turned professional in 2022. Suber tied for sixth in the Korn Ferry Tour's LECOM Suncoast Classic not far from his Tampa-area home, but has since missed four consecutive cuts on the circuit. He also shared eighth in the Astara Golf Championship presented by MasterCard in February. He is currently 44th on the KFT's points list. Suber also played on the KFT in 2023. He was the runner-up in the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS.
