F-13: Top 5 players in the FedExCup standings, not otherwise exempt, as of May 18, 2026

The left-hander who was born in India, but raised in Canada, will make his U.S. Open debut after being among the top 5 players in the FedExCup standings, not otherwise exempt, as of May 18. Instead of going to college, Yellamaraju turned professional right out of high school and worked his way up the ranks. He spent two years on PGA Tour Canada and another two on the Korn Ferry Tour, where he claimed the The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic in 2025. He earned his PGA Tour card for 2026 and posted a top-5 finish at The Players Championship. Yellamaraju learned the game while watching YouTube videos after the family moved to Winnipeg when he was 4 years old. The family then relocated to the Toronto suburb of Mississauga seven years later. His junior golf highlights include winning the 2017 Ontario Men's Amateur. Because he didn't have the financial means to attend college and had no Division I offers, he decided to turn professional and followed the lead of another successful southpaw, Akshay Bhatia.
