F-21: Top 60 point leaders in the Official World Golf Ranking as of May 18, 2026
The Spaniard earned a spot in his third U.S. Open by virtue of being inside the top 60 of the Official World Golf Ranking as of May 18. Puig, who now competes on LIV Golf, owns three worldwide victories, including the 2025 BMW Australian BMW PGA Championship, which was co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour of Australasia. He also has claimed a pair of Asian Tour titles. Puig played three seasons for Arizona State University, winning the Southwestern Invitational in consecutive years (2021-22). He helped ASU reach the championship match of the 2022 NCAA Championships at Greyhawk, in Scottsdale, Ariz. He also was a member of the International Palmer Cup Teams in 2020 and 2021, posting a 3-1 record. Puig turned professional in 2022 and joined LIV Golf in 2023. Before arriving at ASU, he was a member of the 2018 European Junior Ryder Cup Team.
