Hidalgo will make his U.S. Open debut after posting 11-under 133 on the Old and New Courses of Walton Heath Golf Club, in Surrey, England, on May 18. The Spaniard currently is a member of the DP World Tour, where he owns one victory: the 2024 Acciona Open de Espana in a playoff over Jon Rahm. He also has registered one European Challenge Tour win and two titles on the Alps Tour. As an amateur, he represented Spain in the 2018 World Amateur Team Championship, and Continental Europe in the 2018 St. Andrews Trophy and Europe in the 2018 Bonallack Trophy. He also is a two-time winner of the Spanish Amateur (2016 and 2018). He turned professional in 2018.
