The Rochester, N.Y., native who has signed to play at the University of Florida this fall, posted 12-under 128 at Gaston Country Club to earn his first trip to the U.S. Open. He also survived local qualifying at the Links at Greystone, posting 70 to earn medalist honors. Ormond competed in the 2025 U.S. Junior Amateur at Trinity Forest Golf Club, losing in the Round of 64. Earlier this year, he tied for second at the AJGA Simplify Boys Championship at Carlton Woods. He also finished solo sixth in the 2025 Jones Cup Junior Invitational.
